selfless service

My husband has been in N.Y. for a week now and a friend stopped by to drop this off and say hey, just thinking of you and wanted you to have this special little treat JUST FOR YOU!
I love it when people are so in-tuned with selfless love that they know when and what to do and say that brings a smile to brighten up ones day in a matter of a second.
Hmmm...did she somehow know that this week was a hard one without the hubby and everyone being sick???
Thanks to that special friend! And OH MY...YUM YUM

Love this Song

If your volume is on... your now listening to it. Here are the lyrics. Great affirmations, one by one to grasp.

Instrument of peace

Where there is hatred, let me bring love.
Where there is doubt, let me bring faith.
Where there is falsehood, let me bring truth.
Where there is pain, I’ll comfort you.
Where there is silence, let me sing praise.
Where there's despair, let me bring hope.
Where there is blindness, let me bring sight.
Where there is darkness, let me bring light.

And with these words I speak, grant that I may not so seek,
to be heard but to hear,
to be consoled but to console,
not to be seen but to see,
to be loved but to love.

For when we give love, we will receive.
When we forgive love, we’ll find reprieve.

It is in dying we’ll be released.
Make me an instrument of peace.
All of us have pleasant things in us and all of us have unpleasant things about us, that's why we are here to LEARN and become better.

If I can only remember this when I start to create stories about people!

MOTHERS

Mamma's are primarily responsible for the NURTURE of their children. The word NURTURE is a huge term which includes nourishes, upbringing, rearing, educate, train, foster and cultivate emotionally, spiritually, and physically. I can't think of a more rewarding responsibility than that of mothering!

Oh the places you go and the lesson's you learn in this journey!

There are times that I long to have the undoubtedly strain of adding full time 4 children to the already 5 I am privileged to mother under my wings to protect and care for and provide the care that would emotionally be more stable than that of their current situation.

MOTHERS LETS BE THERE FOR THE SHORT YEARS WE GET THE PRIVILEGE OF CARING FOR THESE LITTLE HANDS!!!

MOTHERS, LET US STEP UP AND DO WHAT IS OUR PRIVILEGE TO DO...CARE FOR OUR OWN CHILDREN IN A WAY THAT THEY FEEL THEY HAVE A CUSHION TO FALL AND BE ABSORBED IN...ALWAYS!

This is just an average day with my 5

Family Scripture Study meets at 6am
chores and reading of magazines are read BEFORE breakfast
dressed and groomed children by 7:40 am with kitchen cleaned up!
take kids to school...they attend 3 different schools
Drive home
Work out
Groom myself
at home school time for toddler
lunch
story time that turns into nap time with toddler
personal study
tidy house...LAUNDRY ALWAYS!!!
PICK UP KIDS FROM SCHOOL
Read 2 chapters/homework
Time for Music lessons for kids....piano, trumpet, guitar, singing lessons
Dinner
B-Ball games
Family Circle time...prayer, recite to memorize time, friendly saying....kisses and FINALLY
BEDTIME

When the children reach the age of 12 they are to present weekly, by Friday evening, their duty to God goal/Y.W. goal, For strength of Youth topic studied and scout goal achieved to get weekend privileges such as snowboarding, movies, etc.

It's amazing what we can accomplish with consequences :)

SURE, MORE CREEPS IN BUT YOU GET THE IDEA, seems overwhelming but so rewarding!!!

HATS OFF to ALL YOU MOTHERS THAT ARE DOING AND ENJOYING THIS JOURNEY!

In life there seems to be bumps in every road that have the opportunity to teach and have us learn from.

Some bumps in the road will flatten tires if we're not careful and will take much patience and love!

Let us, with patience, move forward and conquer...calling upon help and being thankful when someone comes along to be that help we asked for.

A special thanks to those that continue to be our ANGELS ON EARTH. There are angels among us if we take the time to see them.

I now see the bump for what it is thanks to ONE OF MY ANGELS! LOVE YOU...

my "REAL" Superhero

When I met William he thought Isaac was a little on the "soft side". This year he has focused on making a MAN out of Isaac...here is proof :) Isaac loves Will so much and misses him so bad when he travels. He was in tears yesterday just thinking about having to share the phone with his sibling. He is always wanting to save everything for Daddy Will, we were eating out for lunch just yesterday and he wanted to save some of his soup for him. When we arrived home from our little AZ getaway each of the kids found notes from Will taped to their bedroom doors with candy!!! (no wonder they are so in love with him) This sure made up for the state in which we found the house...Hmmm and he thought he did a great job with the house keeping...he's fired!!! (sorry baby couldn't resist)

warm AZ

Being with the CRAIG FAMILY is one of my MOST FAVORITE places to be!

This last week was so amazing. Will was traveling with business and so I had an idea to go to AZ Wed. thru Mon. with the kids, they had a longer weekend break due to NO SCHOOL. Arriving in AZ felt like I was coming HOME. I love that place. Such warm memories and warm embraces are present and felt deeply! We went to our old ward and were greeted so well, I LOVE ALL OF YOU and MISS YOU MUCH!!! It is HOME away from HOME!

ON THE B-BALL COURT ONCE AGAIN!

I have joined the Women's Basketball League here in Utah and our first game was Thurs. night! We played well and WON but I have to tell you I don't think I have ever been soooo sore! (I'm a bit older now and I guess my body didn't know it until NOW) :)
FROM THE BOOK I AM NOW READING...

"We have to follow our convictions in our lives. Otherwise, we will not be able to stand. Even when people sometimes can't understand us, it is necessary to stand by our convictions. Otherwise, we are unable to stand." (quoted by F. Enzio Busche's father when hearing he was going to join the church, I love his father's support even though he wasn't a member!)

OK, so those of you that know me well know I LOVE to read and I like to share when I find a good one..."Yearning for the Living God" Reflections from the life of F. Enzio Busche.

Such an awakening of the strength in those that lived through WWII.

Thanks to the Leishman family for this one!

THANKS TO ALL who were/are such a support to Will and our family at this time!!! He will start the iodine radiation soon and that should kill any micro cancer that is left.
